Game Dev Log - Nothing Super Spectacular is Happening

Yes!! We know we suck at updating this dev blog so we thought we best post a quick catch up. We’ve been meaning to make a post. We haven’t blogged for a while because school studies, exams, paid work and too much gaming has been getting in the way of our game development.

The “Daddy” wants to unleash our creativity. However, we’re just involved in other “crap” where we want to be playing games instead of developing them. Yes, we are lazy bitches and really should at least do another 3 Bro Game Jam.

It’s easy to think of a game idea (or any idea for that matter) and another thing all together to turn it in to a “releasable thing” that engages people for longer than 30 seconds and makes enough money to pay the bills.

Maybe you’ll love the stuff we do or maybe not. Feedback is welcome. Regardless turning your game ideas into reality is tough mission for indie game devs and small game teams.

Picking a game title and designing a start menu is the easy part. The problem’s start when trying to create a game engine and idea that keeps players playing. For sure we have plans to turn our game ideas into a release.

Spawning them into life is a different matter altogether, especially when creatives want to produce different things, use different platforms and the team lacks development skills.

We are hoping to be a bit more organised with our game development over the next year and have something that is playable and can go live. First, we need to fix the bugs and patch up the code before we have a live version to ship for real player testing.

When you’re young dumb and full of cum coders like us you always have an incoming patch to fix the evil code you wrote from the previous days. Beta testing means trying everything and beating code so hard it never breaks on every platform.

This is impossible. Don’t believe us than ask Microsoft, they release patch updates every month for an operating system. I guess what we’re trying to say is don’t be too surprised if our release dates slip.
